This is an original oil (+mixed media ) painting of Gloria Steinem , an acclaimed journalist, trailblazing feminist, and one of the most visible, passionate leaders and spokeswomen of the women’s rights movement in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
Capturing her iconic look ,statement Ray bans , streaked hair and simple attire with the famous "Ms." logo on top.
Design Style influenced by Art nouveau, developed into a more contemporary representation and endorsed with wild flowers such as the daisy which was one of the most famous symbols of "flower power" of the era .
A variety of painting mediums were implemented creating a dialogue between painterly and illustrative.
